Elevation, terrain, and 3D

Generated from the same registry as the Chinese reference. Contract version: 0.5-session. Edit the registry and reviewed English catalog, then rerun script_contract; do not edit this file. See the script guide.

Platform labels below are registry declarations, not device acceptance. Consult the platform coverage guide for actual host coverage and limits. These are the existing gis compatibility-module APIs; the shared sqsmap map facade is documented separately.

map

map.setTerrain

Enable a real Mercator surface from a common raster-dem, exaggeration 0..20, or disable with null. Desktop local DEM retains its state-return differences.

  • Permission: map.write
  • Declared platforms: desktop, mobile, web
  • Signature: map.setTerrain(arg0: TerrainSpecification | null): Operation<TerrainState | TerrainSpecification | null>

map.getTerrain

Read common source/exaggeration options or desktop local DEM status. Disabled returns null; common readiness comes from getSourceInfo.

  • Permission: project.read
  • Declared platforms: desktop, mobile, web
  • Signature: map.getTerrain(): Operation<TerrainState | TerrainSpecification | null>

map.queryTerrainElevation

Common terrain returns a bilinear loaded DEM height in meters multiplied by exaggeration, or null. Desktop local DEM retains the TerrainElevation object with raw height and datum.

  • Permission: project.read
  • Declared platforms: desktop, mobile, web
  • Signature: map.queryTerrainElevation(arg0: [number,number]): Operation<number | TerrainElevation | null>

map.setProjection

Switch projection with a type object: geographic, mercator, or globe. Change desktop GIS display coordinate systems through the dedicated desktop interface.

  • Permission: map.write
  • Declared platforms: desktop, mobile, web
  • Signature: map.setProjection(arg0: ProjectionSpecification): Operation<ProjectionSpecification>

map.getProjection

Read the current view projection.

  • Permission: project.read
  • Declared platforms: desktop, mobile, web
  • Signature: map.getProjection(): Operation<ProjectionSpecification>

gis.pointClouds

gis.pointClouds.neighbors

Find nearest points in an entire local point cloud using WGS84 center and meter radius; return at most 100 samples.

  • Permission: analysis.execute
  • Declared platforms: desktop, mobile
  • Signature: pointClouds.neighbors(arg0: SourceRef | string, arg1: PointNeighborOptions): Operation<PointNeighbors>

gis.pointClouds.toDem

Create a temporary DEM from an entire local UTM point cloud, optionally using estimated ground points only.

  • Permission: analysis.execute
  • Declared platforms: desktop, mobile
  • Signature: pointClouds.toDem(arg0: SourceRef | string, arg1: PointDemOptions): Operation<RasterRef>

gis.pointClouds.density

Create temporary point-density raster data in points per cell from an entire local UTM point cloud.

  • Permission: analysis.execute
  • Declared platforms: desktop, mobile
  • Signature: pointClouds.density(arg0: SourceRef | string, arg1: PointDensityOptions): Operation<RasterRef>

gis.pointClouds.classifyGround

Apply progressive morphological ground classification to an entire local UTM point cloud, returning a temporary table without changing the source.

  • Permission: analysis.execute
  • Declared platforms: desktop, mobile
  • Signature: pointClouds.classifyGround(arg0: SourceRef | string, arg1: GroundClassificationOptions): Operation<ClassificationRef>

map.workspace

map.workspace.save

Preview a JSON manifest of the 3D workspace, including terrain, point clouds, model/tiles, splats, and camera; applying requires host confirmation.

  • Permission: export.write
  • Declared platforms: desktop, mobile
  • Signature: map.workspace.save(arg0: FileExportOptions): ChangePlan<FileRef>

map.workspace.load

Preview restoring a JSON 3D workspace manifest. append adds resources; replace first removes existing 3D content. Confirm before restoring the batch.

  • Permission: map.write
  • Declared platforms: desktop, mobile
  • Signature: map.workspace.load(arg0: string, arg1?: WorkspaceLoadOptions): ChangePlan<WorkspaceRestoreResult>
