Developer APIs and platform support
SqsMap uses an independently developed map core; MapLibre conventions guide public syntax. Use the matching API snapshot and its capability queries, not a promise of complete MapLibre compatibility.
Current development snapshot: 0.3.0-dev.65d76a28, core 65d76a28454ec82456e27245099bab86832a2b7d, script 0.5-session, ABI 1. 385 public SDK declarations, 41 high-level C signatures and 233 application script registrations are generated from versioned inputs. This is not a formal npm or binary release.
| Entry | Actual coverage |
|---|---|
| Web SDK/scripts | Shared source/layer/camera/style/event/query/media subsets, main-thread and strict Worker local evidence; see each guide for parameters and budgets |
| Desktop scripts | Embedded QuickJS and application host; shared scripts and actual Linux workbench/GPU evidence are recorded per feature |
| Native library | C ABI1 state/commands, resource/input/event/scene interfaces; optional QuickJS one-shot/retained map scripts. Application GIS services are not native-library exports |
| Mobile | Shared core/C interfaces can be embedded, but the current application mobile script host is not connected and device acceptance is pending |
| Windows/macOS/hardware | User-arranged external validation remains pending; local software GPU results do not substitute for it |
Canonical MapLibre-style comparison and LLM index lists preferred methods, explicit extensions, supported subsets and planned entries. Complete layer panels and map tools shows caller-owned UI, operation/state/event mapping and cleanup. This UI can be freely replaced.

Read the focused guides for camera/projection, layers, drawing/editing, styles, source loading, queries, events, lifecycle/confirmation, media, scenes/playback and source credits. Check each host's capabilities before relying on a subset.
Custom backend extensions, terrain media, remaining style/API subsets, complete mobile integration and formal release/device validation remain in progress. A declaration or platform registration is not acceptance evidence. Unsupported parameters reject explicitly.
Native resource hosting documents the C caller-owned download/response lifecycle. The optional native JavaScript module embeds QuickJS-NG; the default pure map library does not add an interpreter. Reusable browser script hosting ships the matched ESM/Worker/WASM contract.
