Start a desktop workflow with layers and the map.

Load and inspect data

Open local spatial data in SqsMap. Keep Shapefile companion files together with the main file. Projected data should include the correct coordinate reference system information.

Select data in the layer list and inspect it on the map. Choose the target layer before viewing attributes. Before analysis or export, check the input layers, fields, coordinate system, and output location.

Automate operations

Press Ctrl+F12 to open the JavaScript debug console, run a script, and inspect its result. Desktop and browser scripts share the Script API; relevant pages describe file access and host differences.

The AI assistant can also help operate the map. Review the affected data before confirming edits, deletions, or overwrites.

Save results

Check the output format, coordinate system, and destination before exporting. Reopen the result to verify its features, attributes, and location.
